Felts in Textile Machinery
The main reason of using felts in Aluminium Extrusion Industry is the heat resistant and smooth surface of the felts which prevents profiles from being scratched.
Another important felts in this sector are roller felts. Profiles are carried on these felts right after coming out press machine. Roller felts are made in different sizes and materials like PBO, Kevlar, Nomex, between 150-600°C temperatures. Besides, these roller felts are hardened by resin treatment for being strenghened against abrasion.
All the pad felts carrying hot profiles have high abrasion resistance along with heat resistance. Spacer felts are used for preventing profiles from any damage and scratches when they are placed in thermic ovens. These spacer felts can be sewn in any required sizes and they are heat resistant up to 250°C.
Adhesive felts are used at the edges of the baskets for carrying profiles to the thermic oven and they prevent profiles from scratches and damage.
Kevlar Gloves are another important products in this sector. These Gloves are heat resistant up to 500°C and enable holding hot profiles.
In extrusion, felts with their elastic textile fiber structure, prevent damages and scratches which affects quality of aluminium products badly and are used long-term with the 600°C heat resistance.
